Minesh Parbat
West Midlands Vice President and Chief Pharmacist
Minesh Parbat, MPharm(Hons), ClinDip, IPresc, MSc has worked in senior leadership positions within the NHS and has led on medicines optimisation projects both strategically and operationally.
He continues to practice as an independent prescribing pharmacist and runs long term conditions clinics in asthma and structured medication reviews in a GP Practice, and has done for over 10 years. Minesh has supported varies academic institutions as a visiting lecturer to engage students in research projects and audit initiatives.
He has also served on a numbers of national and local Pharmacy related committees to support the progression of the pharmacy profession and has a keen interest in leadership, equality, diversity and inclusion across various healthcare professions.
Nazir is a Specialist Pharmacist in Respiratory Care for The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust and a member of the Executive Committee of the Primary Care Respiratory Society (PCRS).
He has a real passion for respiratory medicine and was one of the first pharmacists in primary care to be accredited as a Pharmacist with a Special Interest (PhwSI) in Respiratory Care. Throughout his career, he has been involved in several innovative projects demonstrating the value of pharmacist prescribing. His pharmacist-led respiratory service offers an alternative model of care to address inequalities in respiratory care.
Nazir has been shortlisted for multiple national awards because of his dedication to improving the lives of respiratory patients. Whenever he gets the opportunity, he loves to share his experiences to inspire others.
