Kate is the Lead Pharmacy Technician for the Leeds GP Confederation’s Clinical Pharmacy Team and is committed to raising the profile and developing the role of pharmacy technicians in primary care.

Kate has collaborated with pharmacy techs from across Leeds to initiate an integrated pre-registration pharmacy technician programme in the city where trainees have placements across all pharmacy sectors during the two years of their training and has recently gone back into training herself by starting the BTEC in Clinical Pharmacy Services at Bradford College. Kate has a background in community pharmacy and GP practice pharmacy and thinks all GP practices should employ a pharmacy technician as an integral part of their workforce.
