Luvjit Kandula, LPC and Diabetes -  CPG Chair & Midlands Lead

 

Chief Officer, Leicestershire and Rutland Local Pharmaceutical Committee

Luvjit currently works as the Chief Officer of Leicestershire and Rutland Local Pharmaceutical Committee. Her role involves advancing community pharmacy in the local NHS whilst representing Community Pharmacists interests. 

Luvjit has extensive experience working as a Community Pharmacist also having worked in hospital pharmacy and industry both in the UK and abroad. Previous roles include Head of Pharmacy Services and Management of the Pre-registration Programme and also Chairing Warwickshire Local Pharmaceutical Committee.

Babir Malik - North East  Lead

 

Babir Malik is an author, Weldricks Teacher Practitioner, at the University of Bradford, Green Light Northern Pre-registration Lead, Charity Ambassador for Pharmacist Support, and is also OTC Lead for the RPS Pre-registration Conferences.  

Babir currently practices in Weldricks Pharmacy, Scunthorpe. In June 2016, his pharmacy was awarded the Chemist and Druggist Medicines Optimisation Award for their innovative LPS Intervention Service. As a Teacher Practitioner, his role includes being Respiratory Lead for the Clinical Pharmacy Community Diploma. Furthermore, Babir undertook a 10 week secondment as a Clinical Commissioning Group Pharmacist early in 2016 in North Lincolnshire.

Johnathan Laird – Scottish Lead

Community Pharmacist independent prescriber. Prescribe both in the GP setting and also the community pharmacy. Johnathan has interests in common clinical conditions, polypharmacy and also respiratory medicine.

Royal Pharmaceutical Society Scottish Pharmacy Board member. Editor of the online Pharmacy magazine PharmacyinPractice.scot.

Jonny Clarke - Irish Lead

 

1st Class MPharm awarded from QUB -03/07/2011. Apprentice member of Pharmacy Forum Northern Ireland- appointed April 2017

Jonathon Clarke graduated from Queen's University Belfast, School of Pharmacy with a 1st Class Masters of Pharmacy degree in 2011. After qualifying as a pharmacist, he then worked as a locum pharmacist throughout Northern Ireland prior to taking up the position of Clinical Pharmacist, within the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. He has also worked as a pharmacy tutor within Queens University Belfast and is now Chief Executive Office of Locate a Locum
